Welcome to the Pine Level Fire Department's site!

 


   

Our Mission: Serve the residents of Pine Level with professional and quality fire fighting and EMS services. In addition, Pine Level Fire Department will support neighboring fire departments and EMS organizations in Autauga and surrounding counties, by providing equipment and manpower as requested, to insure that all residents of these counties receive the best possible protection.

Pine Level is an unincorporated community located just north of the City of Prattville in Autauga County, AL. The PLFD has a first-due response area of 67 square miles and includes 17 miles of I-65.

The Pine Level Fire Department was originally organized in April of 1972 and is comprised of 31 volunteers and operates out of 2 stations and currently provides 24/7/365 on-call structural/wildland fire suppression, operations level technical rescue and BLS first response EMS. The PLFD is an ISO 4/9 department. PLFD averages over 850 dispatches per year and accounts for 28% of the county’s total emergency calls.

Pine Level Fire Department is a member in good standing of the Autauga County Firefighter's Association and the Alabama Association of Volunteer Fire Departments.



MVA

October 5, 2017

Pine Level responded to an MVA with rollover at the 191 mile marker on Interstate 65. Thankfully occupants only sustained minor injuries.


Vehicle Fire

October 3, 2017

Pine Level responded to a tractor trailer fire at the 197 mile marker on Interstate 65. Responded Engine 701, Tanker 781 & 782, Brush Truck 771, Command Vehicle 712. IC Chief Mark Caffey & Pine Level Fire Fighters along with assistance from  Enterprise Fire Department, Verbena Fire Department, Marbury Fire Department, and the Autauga County Rescue Squad where able to bring fire under control.


9.11 Memorial Stair Climb

Members of Pine Level Fire Department participated in the annual 9.11 Memorial Stair Climb. Members of Pine Level Fire Department have participated in this event every year since it began at the RSA tower in downtown Montgomery to honor the 343 emergency responders that lost their lives trying to save others. 


Congrats to the Autauga County EMT-Basic 2016-B Class. A total of 6 students sat for the national registry and attained a 100% first attempt pass rate. All have completed the licensure process for the State of Alabama and are now licensed EMT-Basics. 

They began the journey in August and completed the classroom portion of the program on 15 Dec. The students took the National Registry over the first few weeks of Jan. They attended classes every Tues and Thursday and several Saturdays along the way to accumulate 180 hrs of classroom and 48 hrs of field clinical rotations.
